SMOKER DyneLite Oar

Smoker’s legendary solid Ash oar with a little technological enhancement. This oar has the same properties as the Smokers™ that you have come to love with the added benefit of the lightest whitewater proven DyneLite™ blade made. You’ll be rowing with finesse and ease with these beauties in your hands. Comes standard with a Dynel and Kevlar Pro-Tip, oar blade protection from rocks and other debris.

Solid Northern White Ash oar
Tapered oar shaft circumference for a counter balanced feel and excellent flex.
Carbon and Kevlar reinforced solid Ash wood core DyneLite™ blade for incredibly light swing weight and durability. Edges trimmed in Dynel for added protection.
Round barrel grip w/black vinyl grip covers.
Sealed and finished with the finest marine grade spar varnish.

The Polecat is Sawyer’s solution for the cost conscious oar buyer who wants the lightweight strength advantage of a fiberglass shaft with the history of superior design and durability only offered by Sawyer.

SquareTop Dyno X Oar

The Sawyer Dyno X Oar is our very popular SquareTop Oar with a carbon fiber X-Weave fiberglass shaft reinforcement instead of the full carbon fiber braid. This lends the oar a little more forgiving flex and is even easier on your joints. Destined to become another favorite.

Sawyer V-Lam Oar

The Sawyer (“Non-Square”) V-Lam Oar is a solid wood oar from the top of the laminated Douglas Fir handle and shaft to the laminated Western Red Cedar blade. Incorporates the unduplicated feel and progressive flex from a tapered wood shaft and the added strength of Fiberglass/Carbon X-Weave reinforcement. The Narrow V-Lam Flex blade is easy on your joints, lightweight, resilient and beautiful.

SquareTop DyneLite Oar

The Sawyer SquareTop DyneLite Oar is simply the best rowing, lightest swing weight, whitewater proven oar on the planet! Solid laminated Douglas Fir from the top of the handle to the tip of the blade. These oars combine the unduplicated feel and progressive flex that only a tapered wood shaft delivers with the added strength of a carbon fiber braid wrap. The name comes from the oversized square top from the handle to the rope wrap, which provides a counter balanced feel without compromising floatation. Yes, a counter balanced oar that floats… flat on the water!
